Alpha Kappa Alpha women of the Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter.

The following members have achieved greatness in their professional life.

March is Women's History Month

March 8th is International Women's Day

Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated.

Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.

We celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of these

nine ladies of Upsilon Tau Omega (ΥΤΩ) Chapter - Fort Washington, Maryland.

As a mediator with the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, chapter member Merrie Nichols Dixon serves as a neutral third party. She facilitates a discussion with landlords and tenants to explore possible solutions or settlements. Over 90% of the defendants are low income minority citizens who might be facing eviction. The mediation process “levels the playing field” and gives both tenants and landlords the ability to air their concerns and work collaboratively to resolve their issues.

Dr. Joanne normalizes seeking therapy for her clients on their journey to wellness.
